Teaching in the languages of our community: English, español, and Português
We instill in our students the spirit of generosity and a commitment to care for others, think globally, and act locally.
Did you know that the Greek word “philanthropy” means “love of humankind”? At ICS, we envision this to mean the voluntary act of giving for the common good. Or in other words, giving = love.
By extension, the voluntary act of giving becomes an act of empowerment. It is something to feel good about.
“My son just graduated from ICS - it was a glorious moment. I can't imagine a better education anywhere. From the fantastic teacher-parent connection to the dual language learning experience, it was great and my son loved it.”

Creating a Culture of Giving
At ICS, we instill in our students the spirit of generosity and a commitment to care for others, think globally, and act locally. We embrace the concepts of caring, sharing, and giving through our Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum and the International Baccalaureate® (IB) learner profile.
We are proud to be the only school in Rhode Island to offer the IB Primary Years Programme. In the spring, our 5th-grade students participate in the PYP Exhibition, a community event that showcases their civic-mindedness and commitment to addressing real problems in our community and the world.
We Rely on Your Support
As an independent public charter school, ICS relies on funding from a variety of sources—both public and private—to carry out our mission. You can help us continue to serve our multicultural community by making a donation to support ICS. Any amount, large or small, is warmly appreciated and will help provide learning materials and opportunities for our students, teachers, and community.
If you prefer, you can also make a donation by sending a check made payable to ICS or International Charter School to: 334 Pleasant Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
